Eric worked with his tools, as a journeyman electrician before and during the time he attended college. When he graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering in 1982, he took a job as an electronic technician. He became a licensed fire alarm installation superintendent and spent the next seven years installing and maintaining life safety systems in high rise buildings. In 1989, he went to work for Dow Chemical, where he designed power distribution systems for world-class industrial facilities. He started teaching National Electrical Code classes to engineers in 1997. He received his professional engineering license, for the State of Texas, in 2003 and started Stromberg Engineering, Inc. in 2005.
Eric's broad experience, from residential to commercial to industrial, helps to make the classes relevant and interesting. He has developed a course that covers what he has found to be some of the most misunderstood aspects of the National Electrical Code.
